The ‘Reverse Transcript’: Something to Really Think About

HỌC BẠ NGƯỢC - ĐIỀU PHẢI SUY NGẪM

The “Reverse Transcript” is a special phrase PHS teachers use. It’s for students who apply to our school and are actually much more capable than their grades and comments on their academic transcript ( Học bạ) show.

When PHS accepts new students, we always look at the whole picture of what you can do. We don’t just look at your academic transcript. We also use our own special surveys and interviews to get to know you better.

We’ve found something very interesting that makes us pause and think:

  • Sometimes, a academic transcript shows great grades, but when we test the student, their results are just average.
  • But on the flip side, some students have transcripts with lower grades, yet they show they are truly smart, have a real talent for art or a passion for science, and are unique and independent.

That’s why we call these amazing cases the “Reverse Transcript.”

Your true learning ability is the real key to opening up your future. That means tests, grading rules, and teacher comments need to look at your effort and growth all the time—throughout the semesters and the whole year. To really judge you fairly and help you reach your full potential, teachers need to truly care, set clear goals, and have a specific plan just for you, woven into all the school’s activities.

At PHS, we’ve seen so many students make incredible changes after they start here. Some fit in and shine right away. Others take a little longer. The best part is that everyone gets to show and grow their different kinds of talents. All our students feel confident and happy when they come to school.

This success is what makes the PHS teachers so proud. And those students with “Reverse Transcripts” have finally been seen for their true abilities!

Let’s join PHS in focusing on an education that values what you are truly made of, not just a number on a page.
