Lately, our admissions team has been receiving a lot of interest and questions from parents working in the aviation industry. To help you easily find the details you need and ensure you don’t miss out on this opportunity for your child, we have put together answers to the most common questions below:

❓ QUESTION 1: What are the requirements for the “Leading Bird” Scholarship? Does my child need to have perfect grades?

👉 PHS: This scholarship was created purely to thank and support families in the aviation industry. Therefore, the main requirement is simply that the child has a parent currently working in aviation (such as pilots, cabin crew, ground engineers, air traffic controllers, or management).

As a Boutique School, PHS focuses on the personal progress of each individual student. We aren’t looking for a “perfect” academic record just for show. Instead, we look for young minds with a positive attitude, an open mindset, and a genuine interest in science, technology, and the arts, which aligns well with our school community.

❓ QUESTION 2: How much is the scholarship, and will it be cancelled if my child’s grades drop?

👉 PHS: The “Leading Bird” Scholarship offers up to a 40% reduction in tuition fees, depending on the specific terms of the programme.

We truly understand the financial pressures of family life and your desire for your child to have a stable, long-term education. That is why this scholarship stays with your child throughout their two consecutive years at PHS. We promise NOT to withdraw the scholarship based on academic pressure or test scores. All we ask is that your child stays committed to learning, maintains good behaviour, and actively takes part in school life.

❓ QUESTION 3: What is the application process? Will my child have to sit stressful exams?

👉 PHS: Knowing how busy and unpredictable aviation schedules can be, we have made our application process as straightforward and stress-free as possible:

Step 1: Parents fill out a quick online form or contact our Admissions Hotline.

Step 2: We will invite you and your child to visit the school for a short, informal interview experience. Your child will have a chat with our teachers and do a gentle, age-appropriate assessment (including an English language check). This is simply to help us understand their behaviour, language skills, and well-being. It is absolutely not a stressful exam.

Step 3: We will get back to you with the results within three working days.

❓ QUESTION 4: As a Boutique School with a smaller setup, how do you look after the children when parents are away on flights?

👉 PHS: This is exactly where PHS excels, acting as a reliable support system for your family:

Small class sizes: We strictly limit our classes to just 16 students per class. This ensures your child receives close care and attention from their form teacher and our subject teachers (from both Vietnam and the UK).

Flexible hours: We offer flexible options for late pick-ups or day-boarding to accommodate your shift patterns or sudden flight changes.

Staying connected across time zones: Our teachers keep you updated on how your child is doing, so you can have peace of mind, no matter which time zone you happen to be in.

❓ QUESTION 5: When is the deadline to apply? Are there any extra discounts if we have more than one child joining?

👉 PHS: To maintain high-quality, personalised learning, the number of scholarships is limited. We will close applications as soon as the places are filled, and no later than 15 July 2026.
