💡 LEARNING BY DOING: HAND OVER THE HELM – OPEN THE FUTURE

🌍 “Learning by Doing” is a modern educational philosophy widely applied around the world, yet it can only be fully maximised when all students are given opportunities to participate in real tasks. 🚀 Pursuing an intimate education model, PHS focuses on creating an environment that encourages all students to develop from experiences in life.

🎯 From the annual Spring Festival to the Summer Festival, that spirit has become a tradition of PHS, when every student – whether standing in front of or behind the stage lights, holds an important position in contributing to the success of the festival. Especially, Year 11, together with Year 10, is always the core force ensuring the quality of the programme.

🎬 At this year’s Summer Festival, Year 11 continued to be handed the helm in the role of the Organising Committee. From preparation work (naming the programme, designing the stage background) to coordination (arranging the performance order, controlling lighting techniques), they successfully transformed Business lessons into the ability to organise a large event. 👏

🛠️ Accompanying their Year 11 seniors, Year 10 took their first steps in practice in the role of the Backstage Crew. From costumes and props to stage effects, they coordinated smoothly and shared the burden with their older peers to ensure that every performance shone most brilliantly. 🙌

🚢 With supporting of the captains, Year 11 and Year 10 were the very helmsmen who brought the “A two-decade voyage” to a complete landing. The hours of working directly with the director, technicians and other departments brought many practical experiences beyond textbooks, helping them train the habit of authentic thinking and practical execution, and taking real responsibility before situations in life. More importantly, that achievement was evaluated not only by teachers but also by parents – special audiences who always follow the voyage of preparation for life of the “apprentice captains”.

🤝 Thank you for devoting yourselves wholeheartedly to the “A two-decade voyage”, so that from today’s stage, many generations of students will continue to keep a steady hand on the helm, opening the future with the mettle forged over the years under the PHS sail.
