This performance brought together ocean waves, powerful drumbeats, and graceful cranes. At times soft and flowing like water, at others strong and energetic with every beat of the drums.
What makes us most proud is not only what happened on stage, but also the journey behind it.
Performing with silk to instrumental music is never easy, but through hard work and determination, the students gradually learned to master every beat and movement with greater confidence and precision. What once seemed difficult soon became their secret weapon. Some of the most beautiful moments were actually created by the students themselves through spontaneous and creative silk movements that even surprised us. Every practice session was filled with excitement. The students couldn’t wait to get their hands on the silk, try new moves, and proudly tell us, “Teacher, I can do it!”
The drum team was just as impressive. Even when their arms were tired, they never lost the rhythm. As soon as the music started, they were in position, fully focused, and ready to give it their all.
As teachers who have accompanied these students throughout the school year, we are incredibly proud. Proud of how much they have grown, proud of their determination, and proud of a performance that truly deserved all the praise and applause it received from teachers, parents, and the audience.
Another special part of this performance was the support from our Grade 7 students. When asked to help, they agreed immediately without hesitation. Despite being busy preparing for their own performance, they still made time for the younger students, practised seriously, worked on the choreography at home, and mastered every beat.
The enthusiasm, responsibility, and care shown by both grade levels touched us deeply and made us even prouder.
Thank you to all of the students for creating such a beautiful performance together. And honestly… even now, we have probably replayed this performance a hundred times already. ❤️
