PHS School Thinking...

In March 2026, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Chair of the School Board of PHS, attended the 10th World Conference on the Future of Education held at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
The conference brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers to exchange ideas, present new findings, and build meaningful professional connections. Participants engaged in vital discussions regarding global educational challenges, innovative solutions, and strategies to enhance learning standards worldwide.
For the PHS School Board, participating in such international forums is a cornerstone of our commitment to ensuring our curriculum remains at the forefront of global best practices. According to Ms. Huong, while this year’s conference offered few radical breakthroughs, it highlighted a vibrant debate on the application and regulation of AI in the classroom. Crucially, the persistent challenges facing developing nations remain largely unchanged, with class sizes and teacher workload identified as the most pressing concerns.
Reflecting on these global anxieties, PHS remains steadfast in its dedication to the ‘small school’ model. Rather than pursuing scale, we prioritize smaller class sizes to enable personalized learning pathways and reduce the burden on our educators. At PHS, whilst AI serves as a powerful instrument, the human element remains at the heart of our pedagogy. The insights gained at Oxford have only reaffirmed our conviction: by choosing quality over quantity, PHS is proactively shaping a distinctive future for every student.
