PHS Spelling Bee 2026 witnessed intense competitions among our Primary school spellers. More than just an academic playground, this conpetition was a chance for students to showcase their English proficiency:
👏🏼Impressive vocabulary: Our students truly surprised the teachers by mastering a wide range of words in the Word list — integrated from the Bilingual program — as well as challenging extra vocabulary.
⚡ Sharp reflexes: Very good listening skills and excellent pronunciation led to instant reflexes.
💪🏻Champion spirit: To secure their spots in the TOP 32, TOP 16, and reach the final victory, the students showed relentless effort and maintained remarkable composure under the intense pressure of the knockout rounds.
🌟 SPECIAL HIGHLIGHTS:
🌱 Our youngest “Bees”: Despite being first-time participants, our Grade 2 students showed admirable confidence and talent. They held their own against the older students, with a standout group successfully advancing to the next round.
🎖️ Outstanding Grade 3: With an impressive vocabulary and a persuasive performance, a Grade 3 representative proudly won the Third Prize.
🔥 Explosive Grade 5: Asserting their position as the “big brothers and sisters” with superior English skills, Grade 5 had a brilliant run, advancing with the highest number of finalists and winning the most awards.
👑 The Reigning Champion: Most impressively, our Grade 4 Champion — a student with well-rounded English skills — successfully defended the title for the second year in a row, maintaining peak performance against all competitors.
The students’ confidence and capability are a great source of pride for PHS. Congratulations to all “Spellers” for successfully overcoming the challenge! ❤️
