PHS LIGHTHOUSE:
20 YEARS OF ILLUMINATING THE FUTURE

Throughout human history, the lighthouse has always stood as a sacred symbol of guidance and enduring hope amidst the vast ocean. For the PHS community, that very symbol was sparked two decades ago—a lighthouse built upon the sheer devotion, love, and vision of our founders. Within the solemn atmosphere of the 20th anniversary celebration, the flow of time seemed to stand still, making way for the most moving and proudest moment: The PHS Lighthouse Lighting Ceremony.

Set against a vibrant jazz piano performance by Mai Khoi (a Year 13 student), the soulful, powerful, and immensely proud voices of our two Year 12 MCs, An Huy and Thao Anh, opened the story of the "fire keeper". The Chairwoman, alongside 20 students, used torches to create the initial beams of light connecting the generations. From the founder's initial flame of passion, the light travelled through the confident hands of Year 12 students, stirred the resilient spirit of Years 9 and 7, and was gently passed onto the innocent buds of Years 5 and 3. Twenty beams of light, representing the twenty-year journey of growth now past, converged and harmonized into one, illuminating the PHS lighthouse for the next 20 years.

No longer just a story confined to the stage, teachers, parents, and students in the audience simultaneously turned on their phone torches, creating a magnificent, collective resonance of immense energy. At that precise moment, the massive LED screen unveiled the majestic, towering image of the PHS Lighthouse, casting its brilliant light across the vast sky and blue ocean. In one voice, the students proudly chanted:

This entire ceremony, lasting exactly 4 minutes, was organized completely by our Year 12 students—from visual design and motion graphics to backstage coordination and hosting. Their meticulousness, professionalism, and creativity serve as the most vivid testament to the school's success and development over the past 20 years. Thank you, our students—a talented, courageous, and enthusiastic young generation who continue to write the golden chapters of PHS history.

Though the ceremony has concluded, the echoes of pride still resonate deeply. May the PHS lighthouse forever remain a peaceful harbor and a dedicated guiding light, empowering all generations of students to confidently set sail across the ocean and conquer the future!
